New Years Resolutions
Every year we set ourselves a new years resolution which are normally something like get fit, eat healthy, work harder etc etc yet for most of us this really only lasts a coupe of weeks, if we’re lucky. Then it comes to the next new years and we say to ourselves this is my year this time i will keep my resolution, yet a few weeks down the line there we are eating just as much crap, not working out, and staying up all night to meet work deadlines, feeling guilty that yet again we failed at our new years resolutions. So this year i’m not making a new years resolution, instead i’m choosing some aims for the year and hopefully i’ll be able to reach these aims. I think the difference between aims and resolutions is that for me aims are more likely to be different every year depending on what stage of life you’re going through, as i can safely say for the past 4/5 years my resolutions have always been the same kinda thing (get fit, eat healthy, work harder). I know that some of the aims i set this year can only be achieved within this year, i have no next year to fall back on! Some aims are more serious and some are more fun, but here’s my list so far…
- Finish my Degree, aim towards a 2:1
- Enjoy the rest of my time at uni and make the most of my time in Bath
- Once i finish my degree, work hard to get a job and work experience
- Apply for PGCE
- Read Bible more, aim for everyday!
- Start Running (yes i know this is basically get fit, but i want to have that time for some ‘me time’ where i can just think about anything and everything)
- Instead of buying random presents for people birthday’s and Christmas that they’ll use maybe once or twice, make them something, putting time into making something for them will make it more personal and will be something that they cant buy for themselves :)
- Make myself a big patchwork quilt (this will probably have to wait till after i’ve finished my degree!)
- Catch up with my family at least once a week!
- Catch up with friends back home more often!
- Read a classic novel
That’s it for now, though i’m sure more will get added along the way!

15 days till Christmas!!

This is what’s getting me through the huge amount of work i have to do over the next few days!

"The Pirate clothes started to attract a wider audience through fashion magazines, and World’s End supplied shirts, sashes and petticoat drawers for the up-market shop Joseph. Although Punk had received a great deal of media coverage and certain stylists such as Vogue’s Grace Coddington were following her closely, the fashion world had up until then regarded Westwood as a subversive shop-owner rather than a serious designer."
